Indore will be the only city after Surat in Tier-2 cities to have a maximum 80 flyovers. The travel signal will be free at every entry point entering the city limits. Presently there are 30 flyovers/bridges in Indore. In 2024, their number will be up to 50. Whereas by 2044 the figure will be 80. Surat ranks first with 118 flyovers. Although the population of Surat (about 70 lakhs) is twice that of Indore. An action plan has been made to prepare 20 flyovers in the city in two years. On the other hand, according to the report of the Urban Mass Transit Company (UTMC), there is a proposal to build 34 more flyovers at the entry points of the city in 20 years. An estimated Rs 1000 crore will be spent on the flyover to be built in two years.
Two flyovers will be made three layer ; 1 lakh drivers benefit every day
Talking about the proposed flyover in the urban area, two flyovers are going to be made of three layers. Of these, one will be built at Lavkush intersection and one at MR-10 junction. This will benefit about 1 lakh vehicles passing through here every day. On BRTS too, the idea is going on to make three Layer elevated corridors from LIG to Naulakha. With this, 80 thousand to 1 lakh vehicles will get relief every day.
Along with Khajrana, Musakhedi, IT Park, flyovers will be ready at Niranjanpur, Satyasai, Bhanwarkuan. With this, the path of 2 lakh vehicles will be easy every day. Flyovers are to be built at Arjun Baroda, Ralamandal, Best Price, Jhalaria Junction and Rau intersection on the bypass. Mahunaka, Marimata, Lavkush, Footi Kothi, Reti Mandi ROB and Laxmibai Nagar ROB.
