Girder launch of new bridge on Indore-Dewas Highway

Flyover is being built to connect Ujjain to Garoth National Highway.

The girder of the new two-lane flyover under construction on the Indore-Dewas National Highway has been launched. This bridge is being built between Shipra and Dewas to provide connectivity to Indore through Ujjain-Garoth National Highway. Diversion work was done for girder launching and girder was placed through crane on the incoming and outgoing route in a phased manner.

National Highways Authority preparing to complete two incomplete works by November.

Sources in India say that at present only two works are incomplete on the Dewas-Ujjain highway. These include construction of flyover on Indore-Dewas Highway and overbridge on Indore-Dewas Railway Line. These are expected to be completed by the end of November.

This bridge will benefit the vehicles coming from Garoth and Ujjain side and they will not have to cross the highway to come towards Indore. You will be able to reach Indore safely by passing through the flyover at some distance from the junction. A road has already been built for vehicles going from Indore towards Ujjain or Garoth. Dewas-Ujjain-Garoth Highway is being built to provide connectivity to Indore with Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. Out of this, work on Dewas-Ujjain Highway has been completed, while Ujjain-Garoth Highway will be ready by 2024.
