New Delhi, The business environment in the country is getting brighter and its effect is also visible on office leasing. While there is a sluggish environment in the business and real estate sectors across the world, on the contrary in India, office leasing is increasing. According to real estate consultancy JLL India, during the July- September quarter, net leasing of office space in seven major cities of the country increased by 5% to 103.7 lakh square feet as compared to the same quarter last year. During July- September 2022, this figure was 98.6 lakh square feet. According to the data, Hyderabad led with the highest market share in office leasing at 26.1%, followed by Bengaluru at 22.9% and Delhi NCR at 16.4%. According to Rahul Arora, Head of Office Leasing Advisory, JLL India, the performance of India’s office market indicates that economic uncertainties around the world are not affecting India at the moment.
