Sales of expensive houses in Mumbai increased by 74 percent.
There has been a record doubling of sales of luxury homes in Delhi-NCR in the first 9 months of this year. According to data from real estate consultant Anarock, 13,630 houses worth more than Rs 1.5 crore were sold during this period. Last year, 6,210 houses were sold in the same period. Sales of luxury residential units more than doubled to 84,400 units in seven major cities during January-September this year. In the same period last year, this figure was 39,300. According to experts, the concept of owning a home has also strengthened after Covid. Apart from this, people are now buying bigger and better houses.
NCR is the sixth most expensive market in Asia.
Delhi-NCR is the sixth most expensive among major office markets in Asia Pacific. The annual cost of renting office space here in the July-September quarter was Rs 6,539 per square foot. According to Knight Frank, Hong Kong remains the most expensive market in Asia as before. The cost here is Rs 13,738 per square foot. Mumbai is at ninth place with Rs 5,880 per sq ft, while Bengaluru is at 19th place in this list of 23 cities with the rate of Rs 3,011 per sq ft.
