In the next 2 years, 20 flyovers will give wings to the city, traffic will be smooth, 80 bridges will be ready by 2044.




Currently there are 30 flyovers and bridges in the city, the number of which will increase to 50 by 2025.

Traffic system is the biggest challenge of the city. To correct this, continuous efforts are being made by the government and local administration including public representatives. To free major intersections from traffic jams, the work of constructing flyovers has been going on continuously for the last four years. Due to ongoing projects and upcoming plans, about 20 small and big bridges will be built in the next two years, which will give a new dimension to ease the traffic system of the city.

At present there are 30 flyovers and bridges in the city, the number of which will increase to 50 by 2025. Due to the efforts being made to bring the city’s traffic on a fast track, there are plans to build 80 flyovers in the city by 2044. Talking about Tier-2 cities, Surat has the maximum number of 118 flyovers. According to the report of Urban Mass Transit Company (UTMC), there is a proposal to build 34 more flyovers at the entry point of Indore in 20 years. It is estimated that Rs 1000 crore will be spent on the flyover to be built in 2 years.

1 lakh drivers benefit from three layer flyover every day

Talking about the proposed flyovers in the urban area, 2 flyovers are going to be three layer. Of these, one will be built at Luv Kuch intersection and one at MR 10 junction. This will benefit about 1 lakh vehicles passing through here every day. On BRTS also, consideration is going on to build a three layer elevated corridor from LIG to Naulakha. This will provide relief to 80 thousand to 1 lakh vehicles every day.

6 flyovers will ease the movement of 2 lakh vehicles every day

Flyovers will be ready at Khajrana, Musakhedi, IT Park as well as Niranjanpur, 1 Satyasai, Bhanwarkuan. This will ease the travel of 12 lakh vehicles every day. Flyovers are to be built at Arjun Baroda, Ralamandal, Best Price Jhalaria Junction and Rau intersection on the bypass. Mahunaka, Marimata, Lavkush, Footi Kothi, Reti Mandi ROB is also proposed. MP Shankar Lalwani says that IDA and NHI are handling the work of building bridges and flyovers in Indore. They get financial support from the centre. For the success of the flyover in the city, financial support will have to be provided from the city’s revenue. With the planning of experts, the construction will be done as per the needs of the city. There will be no shortage of money.
