Along with 4 I-bus stops, 6 crore smart signal devices are also coming in the way of flyover construction at Satyasai and Niranjanpur intersection of BRTS corridor. The flyover will be constructed by MPRDC. The corporation administration has informed the government regarding the design. The bus stops that may be affected include the bus stops at Satyasai Square, Shalimar, Scheme 78 and Niranjanpur Square. The administration has constituted a team of engineers from MPRDC and AICTSL. This team has inspected the entire route. The technical report is yet to come. The design of the flyover and passenger services on the BRTS route will be assessed. Assessed after both reports whether there will be loss or not, if there will be loss How much loss will there be?
The entire corridor will have the same width
The work on the elevated corridor being built from MR-9 Junction to Naulakha Square will soon gain momentum. The team of engineers has also started assessment regarding the width of the BRTS corridor. It will also be seen which services will be immediately affected by the construction of the corridor. On the instructions of AICTSL Chairman and Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, work on this project has started with MPRDC. Hi-tech signals have also been installed on this route under ITMS. Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS) is to be installed at the IT Park intersection, but due to other projects there, this work is currently on hold.
ITMS to be installed at 51 intersections
ITMS system is to be installed at 51 intersections. Of these, signals at 14 intersections have been integrated. The cost of ITMS project is Rs 29.03 crore. If we look at the data of Bhar intersections, more than 7 lakh traffic silences have been detected by the cameras, but out of these, challans have been issued only to about 86 thousand drivers. Challans worth more than Rs 1 crore 60 lakh have been issued to vehicle drivers. Of these, only 6 lakh 66 thousand have recovered. 75% of the challan action amount will be deposited in the treasury of the Smart City Company.
