Indore

Unfinished road work on the city’s three major link roads: the Western Ring Road (RW-1), MR-4, and Scheme 155, will now be completed. The IDA has allocated ₹105 crore to the Municipal Corporation for these roads. Work on all three was initially initiated by the IDA, but was later handed over to the corporation due to problems like encroachment.

Now, 85 crore rupees have been allocated for MR-4 and Scheme 155, while 20 crore rupees will complete the Western Ring Road. The IDA has allocated this amount based on outstanding property tax. There has been a long-standing dispute over this amount. According to Public Works Committee in-charge Rajendra Rathore, the IDA only gives the corporation roads that have problems and where the compensation is too high. If they are providing roads, they should also provide the money. This was our demand.
