Under the Indira-PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana), in order to receive the next installment for housing construction, it will now be mandatory to upload geo-tagged photos (Geo PMAY) on the app. The MPRO/BDO has instructed that under this scheme, ₹21,600 must be paid to the beneficiary for the second installment. For this, photos of the roof level must be uploaded in the app, and the remaining ₹32,700 will be released in the third installment.

However, to connect houses to the PM Surya Ghar scheme, beneficiaries will have to incur additional expenses. Under this scheme, a project will be created not only for installing the solar panel but also for providing inverter, battery, etc. The first installment of the project must be deposited into the PM Surya Ghar portal. Under this, out of ₹75,000 allocated for installation of solar panels, the first installment of ₹14.83 thousand will have to be deposited in two installments.

The MPRO also stated that the beneficiaries who had not provided land for the scheme have now been given the option to apply for a house site lease (patta). If a beneficiary is willing to receive the house site lease, then an application must be submitted. If they are not interested in receiving the lease, then a written declaration must be given. For this purpose, a four-day camp will be organized in the Gram Panchayat. During this period, the head of the family must remain present.
