IDA has invited proposals from experienced firms to appoint consultants for the Indore Metropolitan Region Plan. Consultant firms and consultants from Pune, Ahmedabad, Jabalpur and Indore have taken interest in discussing the draft in the initial phase. Now these firms will send their respective tenders to IDA. It has been decided to do regional planning by including the nearby cities of Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur and Gwalior. Under this, regional planning of Indore and Bhopal is being done in the first phase. IDA has issued a tender to create a Metropolitan Region (IMR) by combining Indore, Ujjain, Dewas and Dhar. Pre-bid meeting was held on Wednesday. PwC from Pune, Replica, HLP Design and Planning from Ahmedabad, Ethics Architect from Jabalpur and other firms participated in it.
Two study reports prepared

Let us tell you, the Town and Country Investment Department, which is preparing the master plan of the city, is preparing a separate study report on this. Which has also been recently presented before Collector Ashish Singh and CEO RP Ahirwar. According to IDA officers, efforts are going on to form IMR. Will appoint consultant soon.

Area improvement suggestions

During the discussion, the firms involved made suggestions to improve the technical conditions of the tender other than the area related question based on the initial proposal.
