On one hand, work is going on at a fast pace on the elevated corridor of the metro, while recently tenders for the underground have also been called. However, the financial tender has not been approved yet. The ISBT i.e. bus terminal built by the authority is being given connectivity to the metro station, for which the construction of the bridge has also started. Actually, there is a distance of more than 20 meters between the two stations, due to which this bridge is being built so that passengers do not face any problem in commuting.
17.5 km long elevated metro corridor, which will be constructed from Gandhi Nagar to Super Corridor,
The Metro Rail Corporation is working at a fast pace on the road which has been constructed from Vijay Nagar, Radisson to Robot Square via MR-10. Currently, the elevated corridor of the Metro has also been decorated with lights for the Eurasian meeting. The 5.5 km long Priority Corridor on which the trial run was conducted will now start from next year.
Preparations are also being made to start commercial operations, due to which other works like laying of tracks, preparing stations, electrification, signaling etc. are also being completed at a fast pace. On the other hand, Indore Development Authority has constructed an interstate bus terminal on MR-10, Kumerdi, its operation will also start from January and the metro station is being connected to this bus terminal, so that passengers can travel easily.
To make the movement easy and to enable passengers to reach the bus terminal easily through the metro, both the stations are being connected through a bridge. This bridge is being built 12 meters above the ground and currently big cement pillars are being built outside the gate of the bus stand, on which a pedestrian bridge will be built with iron structures, which will have the facility of bridge and escalator, so that passengers can easily go to and from the station with their luggage.
