The Public Works Department is preparing to begin work within a month.

Indore.

Work on the elevated corridor, which will be built along the BRTS corridor, is set to begin within the next month. Work on this corridor will begin at Naulakha Crossing. The Public Works Department has already begun preparations for this work.

The Public Works Department initiated the construction of this corridor several years ago. At that time, the design for the corridor was developed and a tender was issued to select the agency responsible for the work. Since then, due to confusion within the state government, work on the corridor was stalled. Recently, after the Chief Minister of the state, Dr. Mohan Yadav, approved the proposal for this corridor, the work is now underway.

A meeting was held between the engineers, local engineers, and officials from the district administration and municipal corporation. The status of the elevated corridor’s construction was reviewed. Public Works Department officials informed the meeting that the contract for the bridge’s construction has been awarded to a Gujarat-based company. Makar Sankranti is a major festival in Gujarat, and the contractor agency is now arriving in Indore. It was also announced that construction of the elevated corridor will begin within the next month. Construction of this corridor will begin from Naulakha intersection. The 550-meter stretch from Naulakha to the zoo is completely cleared. The Public Works Department will begin work in this area first.
