Metro work has gained momentum. After the trial run, the construction work of three major parts of the metro has also been completed. Now soon it will be handed over to another agency for laying the track. She will work on laying tracks on it. The trial run of the metro was done on 30 September. In this trial run, the Chief Minister also traveled in the metro along with some selected passengers. After this, the construction work of three big stretches from MR-10 to Hiranagar and Bapat intersection to Meghdoot and then about two and a half kilometers from here to Radisson has been completed. Now track will be laid on this part soon and other works will be started. Along with this, the work of laying pillars between Radisson intersection and Robot intersection has also almost been completed. Here also the work of laying the slab will start soon.
Target of passenger operation in 7 months
At the time of the trial run, officials associated with the metro had said that a target of seven months has been set for starting the metro. During this period, there was talk of starting passenger operation between Gandhi Nagar and Radisson. Looking at the way the work is going on, it seems that the route will soon be opened for passengers.
Metro at a glance
- There will be a 31 kilometer route in the first phase.
- There will be 28 metro stations in Indore. These will have 7 underground and 21 elevated stations.
- The metro will run at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour, the length of a coach will be 22 meters.
- There will be security system in every coach with the help of AI. Through AI, arrests can be made through CCTV cameras in Kot.
- Along with this the driver will be equipped. Along with this if there is any kind of disturbance in the track, the train will stop automatically.
Easy way to operate long distance trains from Mhow, passengers will get benefit, Railway officers took trial of third pitline, work completed.
The third pit line has been ready at Mhow railway station of Ratlam division. Train operation trial was conducted on the pit line in the presence of railway officers. It was completely successful. Now the operation of long distance trains has also become easier. Passengers will benefit from this. Not only this, the pressure of trains will also reduce at Indore station.
Actually, the work of third pit line for maintenance of trains was going on for a long time at Mhow railway station. This pit line was completed recently. Since earlier meter gauge trains were operating in Mhow. Broad gauge line is also being laid here. The work of broad gauge station has also been completed. Due to this, a third pit line has been prepared in the yard. Yesterday, rake run of Malwa Express was done on this third pit line. Railway officials were also present during this period. After the successful trial, it has now become easier for long distance trains to operate from here. Let us tell you that earlier the maintenance of Malwa Express was done in Indore only, but later it was extended to Mhow. Similarly, now long distance trains like Avantika and others can be operated from Mhow. This will also reduce the pressure on Indore station and passengers will also get long distance train facilities from Mhow.
Will start ready in two years
Experts say that maintenance in trains third pitline now complete for it is ready. The third pit line, prepared in about two years, was tested. Now maintenance of passenger trains will be started. At present, maintenance of Malwa Express, Yesvantpur-Mhow-Nagpur, Mhow-Bhopal Intercity, Kamakhya Express and DEMU trains from Mhow station is being done from two pit lines.
At present only DEMU train will be maintained
Railway officials said that the third pit line has not been electrified. Due to which only the DEMU trains running on diesel locos will be maintained from here. At the same time, maintenance will be done on both the old pit lines as the number of trains increases.
The work will be completed within a week
According to the information, the work of laying track on the third pit line has been completed, but the connectivity of pipes and electricity has not been completed yet. These works will be completed within a week. After this train maintenance will be started.
