Three layer flyover: Big challenge of underpass – preventing soil subsidence
Indore | Shri Layer flyover work is going on at MR-10 junction. Here the construction of underpass for Indore-Harda Highway is going on for 2 months. The biggest challenge at this time is to prevent the underpass from sinking because the traffic of AB Road passes above it.
Soil did not stop even with steel girder
Ramendra Singh Sisodia, project manager of the construction company, said that earlier we had installed vertical steel girders, but due to the traffic of the bypass, there was so much pressure on the soil below that all these girders got bent and the soil started slipping again. Now efforts are being made to stop the soil by building a structure made of steel and concrete. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the soil is now being stopped in a new way. For this, a structure of steel and concrete has been made. The company has also installed several signs to alert drivers.
