In view of the Eurasian meeting, the Municipal Corporation has started decorating the roads in many areas of the city in an attractive manner as well as painting and beautifying the dividers. Preparations are on to install murals at Radisson Square calling the sanitation workers of Indore as real heroes.
The roads of many areas including Bapat, Vijayanagar, Radisson, Airport are being asphalted overnight.
Two days ago, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava and Municipal Commissioner Shivam Verma visited different areas with the officials and during this time had asked to make all the arrangements foolproof. After this, the corporation teams have started decorating many roads. For the last two days, work is being done on many roads on a large scale. In these, along with planting attractive saplings in the areas around Radisson intersection, a mural of sanitation workers will be installed at the turning of the intersection. According to Jankarya Samiti in-charge Rajendra Rathore, the real heroes of cleanliness in Indore are the sanitation workers and due to this, attractive murals will be installed in a day or two.
Plants of different species are being planted in many parts of the area, while the teams of the garden department have been engaged in different works on the vacant land around the metro lines for the last two days. Many other works are also to be done in the coming days at Radisson Square. A project of one and a half crores has been approved for this. According to him, road beautification work is going on in other parts including BRTS, Metro, Vijayanagar, Bapat, Airport and Daily College and at many places, tarring is being done overnight. In two to three days, many areas of the city will be sparkling clean, while work is also going on to make the garden attractive in Scheme 78.
