New settlements will come up, if 21 km economic corridor and 22 km Ahilya Path are built, heavy vehicles will be out of the city; this will reduce the traffic load of bypass and ring road.

Indore : The 21 km long Economic Corridor and the 22 km long Ahilya Path are such projects that if they materialize, heavy vehicles plying through MR-10, MR-11 and MR-12 in the city will be almost eliminated. This will not only ease traffic but will also reduce accidents. Along with this, connectivity of Pithampur, Indore, Ujjain and Dewas industrial areas will also become easier. Economic Corridor is proposed under Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. It will be built by Madhya Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation (MPSIDC). This 21 km long corridor will cross Dhar Road from the Super Corridor near the airport via Rislay Circle. From here it will go to Pithampur via Rangwasa, Rau. There will be separate industrial, commercial and residential zones of 300 meters on both sides of it. Ahilya Path will connect it at Rislay Phata. The decision of Ahilya Path was taken in the EDA board meeting recently. The biggest challenge in both the projects is land acquisition.

The city can expand and new settlements can be made : Concepts like Fintech and Golf City will give new dimensions to development in the Ahilya Path scheme. The proposal will be sent to the government soon.

The direction of development will change:

At present, the city is developing towards Rau, Pithampur, Mhow, Simrol. With the construction of Ahilya Path, residential development will also start moving towards Ujjain-Sanwer-Betma-Dhar, because connectivity with the western region will open up. Pithampur Sector 7 will be a big beneficiary.

There will be fewer heavy vehicles: With the construction of Ahilya Path and the AB Road-Bypass touching, vehicles going towards Pithampur, Ujjain, Dhar-Ahmedabad will use this road. The result will be that the pressure of heavy vehicles from the city will be reduced. There will be fewer heavy vehicles on Lavkush Chauraha and Super Corridor.

These will be the benefits: Residential development will also start moving towards Ujjain- Sanwer- Betma- Dhar

Residential Development : MR-10 Ban

It has been completed. Tenders for MR-11 have been done. With the construction of Ahilya Path and these roads of the master plan, residential townships and colonies around Bypass Mangalia, Dewas Naka, Ujjain Road, Super Corridor will get circulation roads.

Direct connectivity to Dhar Road

: The construction of Ahilyapath will also benefit the residential settlements being built around the bypass till Rau Circle. After Mangalia, there will be the option of two routes for Pithampur. Vehicles going to Ahmedabad, Gujarat will be divided. Distribution of traffic according to sectors will also reduce the traffic load on the bypass.
