The master plans of Bhopal and Indore may be released in December. Town and Country Planning (T&CP) officials mentioned this deadline in a presentation given to Chief Secretary Anurag Jain on Friday. T&CP has mentioned this deadline in its presentation for the first time. It has been claimed in the presentation that by Timsber 2024, the legal process will be completed and the final publication of the master plan of Bhopal will be done.
Similarly, the proposed date for publication of the draft master plan of Indore has been stated as 7 December. The meeting was called by the MEA regarding the progress of development plans of MP, water problems in them, new schemes, land pooling scheme and master plan of the cities of the state.
Other officials including Urban Development and Housing Department, T&CP, Development Authorities were present in it.

Notification for big investment region was issued on 12 March 2021. After this, stake holders consultation, population estimation, proposed road infrastructure and land use proposals have been prepared. What is left… The 7th and 10th chapter of Indore Master Plan is yet to be drafted. After this, the draft can be published by 7 December 2024.
Drafts of master plans of 9 cities published IM based plans are to be made for 38 cities of MP under AMUK-2.0. Out of these, the state government has released master plans of only Ashok Nagar and Sidhi. Drafts of master plans of 9 cities have been published. Development plans for Sheopur, Purnia, Barwani, Shahdol and Balaghat cities are still pending with the government.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary questioned the compounding process going on in the state and said that your officers are doing wrong things during the construction of the building. Get this fixed. If you do not have such examples, then inform me, I will give.
