The IDA is starting work on a flyover in the Bada Ganpati area, requiring the shifting of several Narmada riverbeds obstructing sections of the bridge. The corporation has issued a tender for ₹1 crore today.
The corporation issued tenders, the matter was stuck for several days.
A few days ago, a team of Municipal Corporation and IDA officials visited the Bada Ganpati area. During this visit, they inspected the Narmada River and drainage system in the surrounding areas.
The condition of the lines was inspected. Both lines have to be shifted. For this, IDA will give money to the corporation, with which the corporation will get the lines shifted. According to corporation officials, today in the first round, tenders have been issued for shifting the Narmada lines. The work of shifting the lines there will be done for Rs 1 crore. Many lines are years old. After this, action will also be started regarding the drainage lines. After the completion of the tender process, the work of digging the roads for the lines will start again in Bada Ganpati and its surrounding areas.
