Vijayvargiya sets an example of political integrity, lavishing praise on opposition leaders, including Digvijay Singh, and providing an account of departmental achievements to the media.

Indore.

The speech delivered by Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya during the special session of the Legislative Assembly has been the subject of much discussion and praise. Mr. Vijayvargiya, upholding the tradition of political integrity and democracy, set a unique example by lavishing praise on former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh and also highlighting the gifts bestowed by Arjun Singh and other Congress leaders, including the establishment of an IIT and IIM in Indore. Planning for Indore’s development for the next 25 years has been completed at the government level, and a master plan is ready. The Chief Minister only needs to review it.

Vijayvargiya remains in the headlines for his outspoken comments and, at times, controversial statements. This time, he took a dig at the Chief Minister in the Assembly, saying that a 20-20 cricket match is currently underway, and just as the captain distributes kits to all the players upon entering the field, our captain himself arrived in a suit and boots, while we poor people are sitting around. In his speech, Mr. Vijayvargiya also praised Digvijay Singh, saying,

When he reported the illness of one of his workers, Digvijay Singh immediately arranged for medical treatment by sending a helicopter. He also mentioned the names of other opposition leaders who approved important development projects from Indore to Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Congress members are also sharing Mr. Vijayvargiya’s speech widely on social media and praising him, as such political integrity is currently in short supply.

This is not seen in the case of the opposition anymore. But what Mr. Vijayvargiya said, going beyond party lines, set new standards of political purity. While presenting an account of his department’s achievements to the media, Vijayvargiya said that planning is being done for the future of the state’s cities and that all major cities are being made economic growth hubs. In Indore, we have established 51

A million trees were planted, setting a world record by planting more than 1.2 million trees at one location. All these trees are still present at the site. After Indore and Bhopal, Jabalpur and Gwalior will also be developed as metropolitan areas, and the master plan for Indore and Bhopal is ready. If the Chief Minister allows time, he will review it. After that, the draft will be released. Chief Secretary

has reviewed the master plan. Mr. Vijayvargiya said that an MoU has also been signed with IIM Nagpur for traffic management, which will ease the traffic on Indore-Bhopal. 600 e-buses will also run, and complete planning has been done for how Indore will develop in the coming 25 years. From the increasing population and the number of vehicles to the fourth phase of Narmada, other projects are being implemented.
