A plan was made to build 1400 flats in 22 buildings in Pithampur itself. Housing Board also sought land to construct buildings in industrial areas.
* Indore.
On one hand, industrial investment is constantly increasing in the state, on the other hand, Regional Industries Conclave is being organized, for which preparations are going on in full swing in Narmadapuram. Now residential activities will also be started on a large scale in all these industrial areas. MPIDC has planned to construct 22 buildings in Pithampur itself, in which about 1400 flats will be built. Along with this, other facilities including schools, hospitals, shopping malls will also be available in industrial areas. At the same time, the Housing Board has also sought land from the government for such activities in these areas. Illegal construction is also going on in these industrial areas.
While the government has given rights to the Housing Board in the Re-Designation Policy, it now wants to start other activities including schools, hospitals, markets along with housing schemes in industrial areas. For which it has demanded land from the Industry Department in these areas. Anyway, the Housing Board has been short of land for new schemes in the last few years. So now it is making plans in new areas, for which industrial areas will also be selected, because a large number of new industries and investments are also coming up in different parts of the state.
These are coming up in different areas. Housing Board has also sought land for such activities in Delhi Mumbai Economic Corridor. On the other hand MPIDC has prepared a state-of-the-art township project in Pithampur itself. Actually, new industries are constantly opening in and around Pithampur, in which a large number of employees and officers work. As of now Pithampur does not have a state-of-the-art township, hence high-ranking officers have to live in Indore. Now Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation has prepared a state-of-the-art township in Sector-1 and Sector-2 of Pithampur.
Proposals for two townships in Sector-6 have also been sent to the Centre for approval, in which 22 multi-storey buildings will be built, in which 1400 flats will be constructed. These will be developed like the ultra-modern townships of Indore, which will have all kinds of facilities like community hall garden, play zone, CCTV, parking, wide roads, fire safety. According to Rajesh Rathore, Executive Director of MPIDC, after Pithampur, such residential townships will be developed in other industrial areas as well.
Illegal colonies were demolished indiscriminately in the Indore-Pithampur corridor
Illegal colonization has increased due to the expansion of 17 villages included in the Indore-Pithampur corridor. In some other places, the former MPIDC had also used bulldozers here. Actually, activities are starting rapidly in industrial areas, due to which the demand for houses increased and illegal colonies started getting demolished. This is the reason why now MPIDC is emphasizing on developing legal colonies and youthships, so that illegal construction does not take place. Apart from residential activities, other facilities like schools, hospitals, shopping malls will also be provided in these industrial areas, so that the people there do not have to come to the nearby cities.
