Construction of road from ISBT to MR-12 Kailod Hala will reduce 30% pressure on AB Road, Ring Road

A 5-kilometer road is part of the master plan. This road, running from Banganga to the MR-12 Talavli Chanda area, has been completed up to the Kumedi ISBT-MR-10 bridge. If this 5-kilometer road is extended from beneath the bridge to the Kailod Hala railway crossing, Rajwada will be directly connected to AB Road. This will also provide a new alternative for Ujjain Road, the Super Corridor, and Vijay Nagar. AB Road and the Ring Road could reduce traffic congestion by 20 to 30 percent.

This road will run parallel to the railway tracks from Kailod Hala. ROBs are being constructed at all crossings. There will be no traffic signals along this entire road. This road’s construction will ease traffic for vehicles coming from MR-10, near the ISBT, AB Road, or the central city.

Current Status: This road is divided into sections, from Sarwate Bus Stand to ISBT and beyond to the Kailod Hala Railway Crossing. Its length is 13 to 14 km. Its width varies from 30 to 75 meters. MR-4 and RW-1 together directly connect Sarwate and Rajwada in the central area.

This is how the road construction will be completed

1. The section of RW 1 from Banganga to ISBT has been completed by connecting to MR-12. Further, under the MR-10 bridge, it has been connected to MR-12 near the Kailod Hala railway crossing, parallel to the railway tracks. From here, MR-12 connects to AB Road near Talavli Chanda. Its width will be 75 meters, or approximately 250 feet.

2. MR-11 will also be connected. This new road can connect MR-11 from Dewas Naka to Khalsa Chowk, Niranjanpur Junction. This will require building a bridge over the Kanh River. This distance is approximately 1300 meters and will be approximately 105 feet wide. This section will allow motorists to travel to MR-11. This will provide connectivity to AB Road from two locations.

  • Densely populated areas along AB Road, such as MR-10, MG Road, Malwa Mills, Rasoma Road, etc., will receive relief.
  • To go to Ujjain Road and Super Corridor, another option will be available along with MR-12.
  • The MR-10 is often under pressure to access the bypass from the Super Corridor and Ujjain Road. This road’s construction will reduce the pressure by 50 percent.
  • In future, passenger buses from AB Road, Bypass will be able to travel directly to ISBT.
