Preparations are being made for commercial operation of the metro train and recently a team from Delhi also tested the safety arrangements of the rolling stock. Now other teams will also arrive in the same manner. However, no date has been fixed by Madhya Pradesh Metro Corporation as to when commercial operations will begin. But at present, apart from the 11 stations to be built from Super Corridor-2 to Radisson Square, the construction work going on at Gandhi Nagar Depot has been expedited.

Preparations are being made to start commercial operations on the 5.5 km long priority corridor on which trial runs were conducted. The stations of this corridor from Gandhi Nagar to Super Corridor-2 have been prepared and all the arrangements are also almost complete. Passenger movement can be started only after getting the certificate of safety standards. Along with this, the 17.5 km long elevated track is being prepared from Gandhi Nagar to MR-10, Super Corridor, Vijay Nagar, Radisson to Robot Square. In its next phase, 11 stations from Super Corridor to Radisson Square and 11 stations from Super Corridor to Radisson Square will be constructed.

Efforts are being made to complete the construction work going on at the depot within the stipulated time frame, due to which almost every week Metro MD S. Krishna is present.

Along with observing the ongoing works, Chaitanya also reviews them with the officers and engineers. The bus terminal built by the authority in Kumerdi will also be connected to the metro station, for which a foot overbridge is currently being constructed, information about this was also taken by the Managing Director. Through this foot overbridge, passengers from the bus stand will be able to easily travel to the metro station. This foot overbridge will connect the metro station and the bus stand.
