Land will be available to widen the bypass service road.

The benefits of the changes made in the control area for the construction of a service road on the bypass can now be availed. The government has resolved the confusion regarding the fee payment for land use upgrade or change. The situation has been clarified by amending the language of the previously issued note. Landowners will be able to deposit the fee in the local body. In the case of urban limits, this amount will have to be deposited in the Municipal Corporation and for rural areas, in the Panchayat.

Presently, due to increase in residential settlements on both sides of the bypass, the traffic on the service road is increasing rapidly. For this, by taking the decision to make the service road between Mangliya and Rau four lane, an exercise has been started to acquire 22.5 meters of land from 45 meters of land of the control area. For this, the administration had sent a proposal to the government to use 22.5 meters of land for mixed land use and to provide other facilities. The Urban Administration Department had issued a notification in May. In this, it was not decided where the fee for changing the land use should be deposited. According to the note issued in the notification, it would be deposited in the Municipal Corporation for the urban limits and in the Panchayat for the rural areas, but the language of the order was not clear.

The process took 3 months and now land can be obtained to widen the service road.

Many land owners applied, but the matter was stuck due to fees. The Joint Director had sought opinion. After three months, the government finally published the revised notice on September 12. Now the change in land use, layout plan and orientation approval and other procedures can be done. The government will be able to get land to increase the width of the service road. T&CP Joint Director Shubhashish Banerjee says, the government has issued the revised notice. Now the land owners will be able to change the land use by paying the fee to the local body and start other procedures.

This facility will be available

1. The administration has decided to develop a four-lane service road within a 45-meter control area on both sides of the bypass. To achieve this, a proposal has been prepared to allocate 22.5 meters of land from the control area for the four-lane service road and other utilities, and to give 22.5 meters of land to the landowner for a mixed use.

According to the proposal, this part can be used for residential, 2. zoological and other activities approved in the master plan.
