Our metro reached Radisson Square for the first time. This was the moment everyone had been waiting for. On Thursday, when the metro train departed from Gandhi Nagar station, it stopped at Hira Nagar station. Since it was going to pass this station for the first time, officials performed a puja (worship) for the train there. Pandits chanted mantras.
Puja was performed. During this trial run, the train speed was maintained at just 15 km per hour along the entire route to test every detail of the system. Metro management plans to begin commercial runs on the 17.5 km route up to Radisson Square by January 2026.
