New green field corridor between Indore-Bhopal, 1st agreement between National Highway and Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation.

The work of converting the existing four-lane between Ujjain-Indore into a six-lane has begun. A new four-lane has also been proposed from the airport to Chintaman Ganesh in Simhastha. Yesterday, an MoU worth Rs 1 lakh crore was signed between National Highway and Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation in Bhopal Summit, under which road projects of more than 4 thousand kilometers will be constructed. This also includes the project of building a high-speed green field corridor between Indore-Bhopal. Apart from this, other important projects of four-lane roads including Bhopal, Jabalpur to Ujjain-Jhalawar, Western and Eastern Bypass are also included in it.

An important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation (MPRDC) and National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) to ensure seamless construction of high speed corridors and expressways. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh were present on this occasion. Apart from them, Additional Chief Secretary Neeraj Mandloi, Managing Director of MPRDC Bharat Yadav and Regional Officer of NHAI S.K. Singh were also present on this important occasion.

Public Works Minister Kesh Singh said that under the leadership of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, NHAI will do works worth about 60 thousand crores in 5 years. Efforts will be made to start works worth the remaining 40 thousand crores in these 5 years. Under the leadership of the country’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, under Developed India 2047, high speed corridors are to be constructed in the entire country by 2037. Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh said that due to this MoU signed under the leadership of Dr Mohan Yadav, the construction work to be done by 2037 will be completed in the next 5 years itself.

Madhya Pradesh will be the first state in the country to do so. During this, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav assured to provide all possible help to complete the construction projects of NHAI within the stipulated time frame. At the same time, Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh called this MoU a historic step for the road infrastructure development of Madhya Pradesh and expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for this. The MoU was signed by Regional Officer S.K. Singh and Managing Director Bharat Yadav signed on behalf of MPRDC. This agreement will ensure an investment of Rs 1 lakh crore for the development of national highways and expressways in Madhya Pradesh, through which about 4010 km long road projects will be constructed and developed. Along with this, new employment opportunities will also be created along with strengthening the road infrastructure under this MoU. Apart from high speed corridor, access control, 6 lanes, existing roads, more doors of development will open under this agreement.
