To make the city slum free, land will be given to private builders on PPP (Public Private Partnership) mode. 1 BHK flats will be built. The land for this will be given to develop roads. Wherever the work starts, the builder will have to build flats within two years. This construction will have to be done on the slum site itself. During this time, the builder will also pay rent to the people for living on rent. According to the government’s plan, the builder will build the flats here after this.
In the next 5 years, about 30 thousand slums will be required on an average. However, the complete number will be known only after the survey. This land will be given to the builder as per the collector guidelines and the government’s assessment of the project cost. Three slums of the city have been selected as an example.
