Badnawar is not included for now due to PM Mitra Park and Badnagar is not included for now due to new industry
Indore
The consultant agency has started working on the metropolitan area being built by including 100 percent of Indore district as well as different parts of Ujjain, Dhar and Dewas. The officials have given a guideline. However, it is still to be decided whether some parts of Dhar and Ujjain are to be included in the metropolitan area or not. This also includes Badnawar of Dhar district.
Two big projects of MPIDC (Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation) are proposed in Badnawar. Right now Pithampur has been fully included.
It is being done. In such a situation, the decision on whether to include the proposed PM Mitra Park and Bhainsala Industrial Park in Badnawar or not is still pending. Similarly, 40 percent of Ujjain will be included, but there is still doubt about Badnagar. Probably in this matter, the help of the Chief Minister or the ministers in charge of these districts, public representatives will be taken. Here the consultant has to prepare the complete plan of the metropolitan area in 9 months. However, there is also a condition that the consulting agency will first give separate reports including situation analysis. This work will be completed in 9 months only if the OK is received from the departments on time at every stage.
100% area of Indore will be included
40% area will be included in Ujjain district
12 villages will be included in Indore tehsil
Big data will be needed, there will be difficulty in setting limits
To create a metropolitan area, instead of one city, different tehsils and bodies of four districts have to be taken. Their data, population, established industries, specialty of the area will also be studied. First, a draft of situation analysis will be made. After this, the geographical, economic, religious-social situation there will be assessed. Which industry is where, what kind of needs are there, a blueprint of this will also be prepared. However, divisional commissioner Deepak Singh has given instructions to appoint a nodal officer in this matter, so that coordination is maintained. Indore collector has also given some points. Since Simhastha 2028 is proposed, in such a situation, along with Indore, work will also be done on the proposed projects and possibilities of Ujjain and Dewas in this area. After the area is decided, the agency will also give a possible draft plan.
Regional development plan and authority will also be needed
Once the area is decided, a Regional Development Authority will also be formed. It will have a complete governing body including representatives of the concerned bodies and a senior officer. Along with this, work will also be done on the Regional Development Plan. Future projects will be planned and implemented accordingly.
