Indore | The work of removing the railing of BRTS and constructing flyovers on the intersections has started on paper. Indore Development Authority (IDA) had given the feasibility survey contract to a Delhi firm. The firm has started the work. By January 10, the firm will prepare its preliminary report and submit it to IDA. After this, the work of designing and detailing the bridge will start. After receiving the detailed survey report, tenders will be issued for the flyover.
According to IDA CEO Ramprakash Ahirwar, the proposal to give the contract to the firm was passed in the last board meeting. Immediately after this, the firm started surveying the intersections. Flyovers will be needed at LIG, Industry House, Palasia, Geeta Bhawan, Shivaji Vatika, GPO and Naulakha intersections. The firm will tell IDA whether flyovers should be built at nearby intersections or a long flyover should be built to cover the nearby intersections. It is worth mentioning that a bridge has been built at Bhanwarkuan intersection. Work is going on at Satyasai intersection. After this, there are plans to build flyovers at five big intersections on the corridor.
