In the review meeting of Indore Metropolitan Region (IMR), Nagda, Badnagar of Ujjain district and Maksi area of ​​Shajapur district will also be included in it. Meanwhile, the draft plan of Indore- Pithampur Economic Corridor was also released.

With the construction of 20.25 km corridor, the distance between Indore and Pithampur will be reduced from 35 km to 25 km. The time taken to reach Pithampur from Indore will be reduced from 40 minutes to 15 to 18 minutes. Land of 17 villages will come in the corridor. These include Kordiabardi, Nanod, Rinjalai, Bisnawada, Navada Panth, Shriram Talavli, Sindora, Sindori, Moklay, Dehrai, Sonwaya, Bhainslai, Bagoda and Dhannad. A 14.8 km long and 75 meter wide road will be built. A portion of 5.45 km will be 60 meters wide. MPIDC Executive Director Rajesh Rathore said that the corridor will be ready in three years after land acquisition.

The corridor will also be connected to Teehi station near the airport

* Distance from Indore Railway Station is 11 km, and it is adjacent to Indore Airport by 2 km.

* Port connectivity will be available from Dhanad ICD and Tohi.

These activities will take place- 1126.99 hectares out of a total of 1331 hectares

There will be a net planning area. 26.12% Commercial Plots, 15.66% Mixed Use Plots, 3.24% Residential, 1.88% PSP, 4.87% Industrial Plots/Green Industries, 8.58% Catalyst Project, Aero City, Fintech, Affordable Housing • Will be for Group Housing. 30.66% land will be for roads and circulation.

1200 sq km new area added

Here, some part of Shajapur district will also be included in Indore Metropolitan Region (IMR). This will increase the area of ​​IMR from 7800 to 9000 sq km. 1200 sq km area will be added. The boundaries of the extended plan will extend up to Maksi of Shajapur district and Nagda, Badnagar of Ujjain. The initial draft of the administrative board for the metropolitan area is being prepared. For this, the plans of Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad are also being looked at.

On Saturday, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav reviewed the plan at Residency Kothi. The consultant agency gave a presentation of the work. CM Yadav instructed to extend the area of ​​Maksi and Ujjain district from Shajapur region to Nagda, Badnagar. He said that this area should be added keeping in view the future. Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh, CP Santosh Singh, Collector Ashish Singh, IDA CEO RP Ahirwar, Consultant Hitendra Mehta were present in the meeting.

Decide the format of the administrative committee

The formation and format of Metropolitan Authority for the operation of Metropolitan Region was considered. The agency informed that for this, the formats and committees of Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai and some other metropolitan regions have been studied. Its preliminary report was also presented. The Chief Minister is the Chairman of the Board. The CM has asked to prepare the format and send it.

After expansion now five districts

After the expansion, areas of five districts will be included in the plan. Among these, the area of ​​Indore and Ujjain will be the maximum. There will be small parts of Dewas, Dhar and Shajapur districts. According to the plan, now it will expand towards Bhopal and Ujjain. According to the information, some important aspects of connectivity were also discussed in the meeting. The region will develop through regional development and international logistics development.
