IDA Board Meeting • The practice of line shifting will be stopped after the road is built, many proposals passed
Indore
Many important decisions were taken in the meeting of the Board of Directors of Indore Vikas Pradhikaran held on Friday. In this, consensus was reached on proposals like demolition of 1200 huts for MR-12, widening MR-10 from 4 lanes to 8 lanes, building 5 thousand flats under PM Awas Yojna, not implementing any scheme on the land of 13 housing societies included in Scheme-171, and other proposals. The Board of Directors decided that if there is land left apart from the institutions in Scheme-171, then the possibility of implementing Town and Planning Scheme on that can be considered. A proposal will be made and sent to the government not to implement the scheme on the land of institutions.
This time the board meeting was held in the divisional commissioner’s office. Actually, there was a meeting of the Chief Minister at 11 o’clock. The officers had to attend it virtually. At the time of the board meeting, a large number of victims of Scheme-171 had also gathered in the IDA office. When they came to know that the meeting was being held in the divisional commissioner’s office, the victims reached there. After the meeting was over, they met divisional commissioner Deepak Singh. Collector Ashish Singh, CEO Ramprakash Ahirwar and other officers were present in the meeting.
Difficulty in getting approval at government level
Even though IDA has passed the proposal in Scheme-171 to not implement the scheme on the land of the institutions and to leave it, but getting it approved from the government level is not easy. IDA had also passed a proposal to free more than 200 hectares of land of Scheme-97 and Scheme 97 Part-4, but the Additional Chief Secretary not only rejected this proposal outright but also ordered an inquiry into leaving the land and giving no objection for leaving the land. Joint Director level officer of Town and Planning department is investigating it. ACS said in the order that there is no provision like leaving the land or de-notifying it in the act.
MR-10 will be widened before Simhastha
- The bridge located on MR-10 is to be converted from 4 lanes to 8 lanes. Rs 48 crore will be spent on this. It will be widened before Simhastha.
- The service road of the bridge built at Futi Kothi crossing also needs to be widened. For this work, IDA will pay Rs 3 crore to the Municipal Corporation. Due to the narrowness of the service road, it often gets jammed. Shopkeepers have also encroached the service road.
- The road connecting MR-9 to MR-10 will be made 18 meters wide. This has also been approved. The construction will be started this year after issuing the tender.
- The roads which are being built under the master plan and other schemes, the work of shifting the electricity lines will also be done simultaneously. After the construction of the road, the practice of line shifting will be stopped.
The path of Ahilya is very far
The Urban Development Department had ordered to send the Ahilya Path Yojana after revising it. It was also asked to implement the scheme on the green belt lands. The consultant has to prepare a report on this. Overall, there is no hope of this project coming to fruition in the near future. The Divisional Commissioner said that it will be considered only after the master plan is received.
5000 flats will be built
According to the CEO, around 1200 huts built in the slum are to be demolished for MR-12. In the River Front Project too, people living on the river bank will be removed. Under the PM Awas Yojana, IDA will build around five thousand flats, those who will be removed will be shifted there. If in future any slum or mohalla is affected by any project, then they can be shifted.
