MPRDC is conducting a feasibility survey to build the road afresh from Indore to Nemawar. Currently, this road is with PWD NH. At the same time, NHAI is building an alternative greenfield highway for this road from Indore to Raghogarh. After the construction of this road, vehicles will not have to use Indore-Nemawar road to go to Harda and Betul.
However, widening of the existing road is necessary. Many villages are settled on this road, educational institutions, colonies, hospitals etc. are opened, for which this 2-lane road is not sufficient. In view of this, MPRDC is doing its study regarding the widening of the road from bypass to Raghogarh. Field survey is being done to prepare the DPR. The alignment has also been finalized, after which on some other technical grounds, a comprehensive outline will be prepared. The process of making its proposal is going on, after which it will be sent to Bhopal for approval.
Will be sent. Work will start after receiving the required amount and funds for construction.
The biggest jam situation on the stretch of road from Indore to Raghogarh is at Double Chowki. The traffic pressure here is the highest, due to which
PWD NH has started the maintenance work of the road from to Radhogarh. Asphalting was done here recently. Patchwork in this 22 km stretch has been given to a company from Bhopal. They will do asphalting in this stretch for Rs 20 crore. However, due to rain, the freshly laid asphalt has also not become strong. There is a possibility of the potholes opening up again.
MPRDC has proposed to build a bypass here. This 4 kilometer long Double Chauko bypass will pass through the fields.
