Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, who came to Indore two days ago, took information from the officers about the preparations going on for the Indore Metropolitan Region. Now, along with Indore, Ujjain, Dhar, Dewas, Maksi, Nagda and Badnagar are also being included in this region, due to which the area of the Indore Metropolitan Region will now be 9 thousand square kilometers and it will be the largest region in the country. Currently, Delhi NCR is at the first place.
Indore’s master plan was made till 2021. Until a new plan comes, this will continue to be implemented. Along with this, preparations for Indore Metro Politan Zone are also being done vigorously and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is making every effort to implement it soon. Indore Development Authority is working on this and recently received proposals from government departments. Now other districts which are included in this are Dhar, Dewas, Ujjain.
Instructions have been given to the administration there to prepare and send their proposals. Now an area of 1200 square kilometers has been included in it, in which Nagda, Badnagar, Maksi have also been included. Now the area will be 9 thousand square kilometers, which will be the second largest region of the country. Currently, Delhi NCR is number one in this matter, in which areas of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan have also been included along with Delhi and its total area is more than 55 thousand square kilometers. However, the total population has also reached 5 crores. At the same time, the population figure of more than 1 crore will be crossed by including the districts included in Indore Region. President of Indore Utthan Abhiyan, Ajit Singh Narang has also welcomed the announcement of inclusion of Maksi, Nagda, Badnagar.
