Indore

Launching of segments weighing 140 tonnes started on the pillars of the double-decker bridge going from Banganga to Sanwer Road at Lavkush Chauraha. After the completion of this work, work of building a road on them will be started. Steel girders will be laid on this bridge instead of cement. 35 out of 37 steel girders have been made ready. There will not be a single pillar on the middle intersection for this bridge as well. Steel girders weighing 80-90 tonnes will be laid so that the intersection just below the bridge has a width of more than 150 feet for vehicles to pass.

The work on this bridge started in August this year. In a period of 4 months, more than 30 pillars of the bridge have been completed. If the work continues at this pace, then traffic will start on this bridge from November next year. On the other hand, the second arm from MR-10 towards the Super Corridor will be opened in three-four days.

Target to prepare ahead of time

The target is to complete the double decker bridge before time. For this, work is being done in three shifts. Three machines were installed to prepare the pillars. Due to this, the foundation and pillars have been completed after digging. Pier caps are also being made on the spot.
