The work of Metro project is also going on at its own pace. A target has been set to prepare the 17 kilometer track first, due to which now the construction of the metro track will also start on the Ring Road, for which a launcher has also been installed at Radisson intersection and the track will be constructed by adding segments. Currently, the work of elevated metro corridor is going on from Gandhi Nagar to Vijay Nagar, Radisson and Robot intersection via Super Corridor, MR-10.

Before the assembly elections, a 6 kilometer priority corridor was prepared, on which Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had taken a successful trial run and then it was announced to extend the metro to Ujjain and also connect Pithampur, Mhow. Currently, the first track of 17 kilometers of metro is being prepared in Indore, on which it has also been claimed that commercial operations will start from next year. This means that traveling in metro from airport to Robot intersection will be possible after one year. Currently, the work of preparing Gandhi Nagar station as well as the stations and tracks in this 17 kilometer stretch is going on at a fast pace. Now the launch has also taken place at Radisson intersection and the metro track has taken a turn on the ring road. Both the launch of the segment will begin between the pillars and Metro Rail Corporation says that track work is still left on a two-and-a-half kilometer stretch. There are two places on the Super Corridor and MR-10 bridge where the railway line is crossing, for which permission has also been sought from the Railways, which has not been received yet. Permission for launching the segment on the railway track will probably be given in the next month i.e. December. It is also noteworthy that tenders have also been called for the elevated corridor from Robot to Palasia, which will be approved soon. An underground track will be laid on MG Road from the High Court to the airport via Rajwada, Baraganapati, the survey of which is going on these days.
