Pillar casting started for the elevated portion towards Khajrana.

Although the Metro Rail Corporation has not yet decided on the underground route after Khajrana, it has started work on the elevated part of this route. The work of pillar casting has started to extend the route beyond Robot Chauraha to Khajrana. There is still a problem regarding the route after this.

An elevated corridor with five stations was to be built from Shahid Park to Palasia, but after the meeting of the departmental minister in June last year, the matter has been stuck. The survey has also been done. The government has also issued a notification, but the public representatives kept insisting on making it underground. The corporation officials got the survey done, but no meeting has been held after that. Here, last year itself, the tender and work order for working on this 5.2 km elevated part has been issued. The company is also confused. That is why the pace of work is being deliberately slowed down and the elevated work is going on till Khajrana. Now since the work here is getting stuck, the metro officials are preparing to start the underground work from the airport towards Regal. The technical bid for the tender called for this has been done. The officials are claiming to start the work in February.

17.5 km track is being prepared

It is known that in the first phase, a 17.5 km track is being prepared from Gandhi Nagar via Super Corridor to Lakkush Square, Bapat Square, Vijay Nagar to Robot Square. It is also being claimed that the metro will run on this entire route in July 2025 itself.

Here, preparations are on to run the metro on the super corridor

Commercial run will start on the 6 km track till TCS crossing on the Super Corridor by the end of this month. On 21st January, the CRMS team is coming to Indore for safety audit. NOC will be received in seven days. After this, the train will start running for the common man at the end of the month.
