Next phase: Records of more than 125 villages are yet to be received.

Work is going on on the plan of Indore Metropolitan Region which is being built with different boundaries of Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Dhar, Shajapur districts. After the boundaries are decided, now the consultant company will give its inspection report by next week. For this, different revenue and land records of some districts are being sought.

After the CM’s approval for the formation of Indore Metropolitan Region Plan (IMR), the boundaries have been decided. Revenue records of the villages falling under these boundaries are now being scrutinized. Where and how much government land is there. Where are other types of land including industry, this is also being investigated. Revenue records and land records data of the five districts including Indore are also being extracted. It was told that the actual data of more than 100 villages is yet to be received. Once the data is received, the consultant company will analyze it and give the next report.

The process of regional plan will be completed in 5 to 6 phases

The process of making a regional plan in Indore Metropolitan Region will be completed in about 5 to 6 phases. Once the records are received, planning of projects like land parcels, implementation of future plans, industrial hub, tourism, entertainment, IT, ITES, knowledge hub will be possible. Along with this, restricting development in environmentally sensitive areas, preserving water bodies, maintaining green cover, making an action plan for a special area for security and development will also be major tasks.
