After the elevated corridor is established on BRTS, the survey to determine which crossings will have to be built with flyovers will begin after 15 October. Tenders have been issued for the construction of flyovers on different crossings of BRTS and for appointing a consultant from Radisson Square to MR-10 Kumedy Talibete. After receiving the tender, IDA will open it by 15 October. Whichever consultant is appointed, it will be told how many provisions should be made on BRTS so that the traffic can pass without stopping. Similarly, a feasibility survey will be conducted and a report will be submitted for the elevated corridor from Radisson to MR-10 Kumedy.
The CM had said that the work should be done soon. The Chief Minister and the Minister in charge of the district, Dr. Mohan Yadav, had recently held a meeting of all the departments regarding the development of the district. In this meeting, a consensus was reached on building a flyover on the RTS. The Chief Minister had said that whatever work has been done on the issues on which consensus has been reached, it will be reviewed in November. In this connection, tenders have been issued within just 15 days of the first meeting of the CM for appointing a consultant. The technical and financial bids of all the tenders that will be submitted for the consultant will be examined. After the consultant is appointed, he will also be asked to conduct a feasibility survey and submit a report within the time limit.
IDA has proposed bridges on 5 intersections of BRTS.It currently takes 24 minutes to reach LIV crossing from Rajiv statue by two-wheeler. While this journey takes up to 35 minutes by car. In this too, if there is a jam at any crossing, it takes no less than an hour to reach. Vehicles are not able to pass through LIG Shivaji Vatika, M and 1 crossing between 10 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm, even when there is a pre-signal. If flyovers are constructed at the proposed crossings, then the 30-minute journey will be completed in 15 minutes. There are already traffic jams at Satyasai and Dewas Naka on the corridor.
Flyovers are being constructed.
After the report, the tender process for the flyover will be started. • In the state, the traffic should pass straight from Lamudia to the intersection without any signal, so that the flyover should be built at which intersections, a report will be prepared by the consultant. After the report, the tender process for the flyover will be started.
