Here, protest against underground on MG Road
Here, protests have also started against taking the metro underground from MG Road. On Saturday, business organizations, lawyers and others called a meeting. Social activist Kishore Kodwani says that there are 14 heritage buildings on MG Road, including Rajbada and Gandhi Hall. No construction can be done within 300 meters of the road. Laying an underground line here will affect the ground water system of the city. Business organizations are also opposing it. There have been protests against it many times. Former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has also inspected the spot once. Rajbada Business Association, traders of Kothari Market and traders of Malharganj area have already registered their protest against it.
