The draft of the master plan, why important plans like Startup Park, Convention Centre, Nehru Stadium are not moving forward, will also be discussed.
Projects like MR roads, transport hub, elevated corridor on BRTS also included.
There will be a brainstorming session in Bhopal on March 15 on all such points as to where more than 27 projects related to the development of the city are stuck and what can be the solution. The officers will tell Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya what are the obstacles in which project. Along with this, MLA and Mayor will also be present. The presentation related to these projects has been prepared by Municipal Corporation, IDA, Housing Board, Metro Corporation, NHAI, PWD and T&CP officers. Officers and experts say that this project is very important. If work starts on these, development will gain momentum.
Decisions will be taken on many important projects
There are many important projects on which decisions have to be taken. There is a meeting with all the public representatives. After the discussion, decisions will be taken to speed up the city development. Neeraj Mandloi, PS, Housing and Urban Development Department.
1. Control Line of Bypass
The administration and municipal corporation have sent the plan for control area conversion to the government.
Effect: After getting the approval, the service road will become four lane. Vehicles will not move on the main carriage way. This will reduce accidents. Traffic will be easy.
2. TDR and TOD Policy
281 square km area has been declared receiving zone. Local area plan has to be prepared around the metro and other public transport corridors.
Effect: There will be benefit in widening the master plan and other circulation roads.
3. Flyover per bypass
Along with the service road, flyovers are being built on the bypass main carriage way in front of MR-10 Junction, Rau Circle, Ralamandal and Best Price. The middleman Hapsi, Kanadia is planning.
Effect: Traffic problem on the bypass will be resolved. There will be reduction in accidents.
4. Community Camera Policy
The Municipal Corporation has prepared a community camera policy for digitalization in remote colonies and township areas. Under this, CCTV cameras are to be installed. Especially in crowded areas, cameras will have to be made mandatory and an access control will have to be given to the command center.
Impact: This policy will help in crowd control and reducing crimes in these areas.
5. Redensification and Redevelopment Project
There is a plan to sell unused government lands and construct buildings for departmental use and spend the remaining amount on other development works. Holkar College, PWD Building, Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, ITI College and others.
Effect: More than Rs 1000 crore will be earned from selling lands. Flyovers, parks etc. can be built.
6. Different roads
MR roads, flyovers, transport hubs, RE-2 and other works were expected from Gatishakti and other projects. Around Rs 600 crore is required.
Effect: If these roads are built, traffic will become easier. Movement will be easier towards super corridor and bypass.
These cases are stuck in approval
• Housing Board has prepared re-identification projects. The case of Vaishnav Polytechnic is under consideration for land use. LIG-MIG Redevelopment Project is also on the way for approval.
• IDA has prepared a proposal for a 90 meter height startup park on the Super Corridor. The file for permission is with the government.
• A convention center is to be built on 25 acres of land on the Super Corridor. The Forest Department has taken objection on the land.
Opposition from public and representatives
• Metro Project: Tenders have been issued for underground in the central city. The demand for change in this continues.
• After the draft basemap of master plan, now land use mapping is going on. The draft was to be published by March. There is a demand to make it like a metropolis.
• Elevated corridor on BRTS: Work has started. There are different opinions on whether to build it in separate parts or together.
