The possibility is also being explored as to which feeder road in the city would be better suited for building a ropeway. Like police stations, a beat system should also be made for traffic management.

These decisions were taken in the meeting of the District Road Safety Committee on Friday. In the meeting, there was a discussion on exploring the possibility of a flyover or elevated corridor on the road of 140 scheme from Piplyahana to bypass. For the first time, experts who have worked for traffic in the city at different times were also called in the meeting. Collector Ashish Singh said that nodal officers will be appointed to monitor the beat system of traffic management. Municipal Commissioner Shivam Verma, District Panchayat CEO Siddharth Jain, Additional Collector Jyoti Sharma, DCP Traffic Arvind Tiwari, IDA CEO RP were present in the meeting.

Ahirwar, ADM Roshan Rai were present.

Traffic management has become a challenge at Vijay Nagar crossing. There is often a traffic jam here.

Experts said- separate bridges are better than elevated corridors

A feasibility survey will soon be conducted for the flyover at Vijayanagar and Radisson crossing.

Another sub-committee will be formed for suggestions on the operation of e-rickshaws. It will submit its report in a week. • Feasibility survey related to parking arrangements, ropeway and cable car was also discussed.

These decisions have not been acted upon yet

* Corporation and IDA will conduct survey for flyover and elevated road at 21 intersections. No initiative has been taken in this direction till now. • For traffic coming from Gauta Bhawan Ghar Navratan Bagh and bypass at Bichauli Hapsi

Two small roads will be built separately for outgoing traffic. Work on this has not started. • The corporation will do the service road work in Khajrana, IDA will provide funding. Work has not started yet. • The rotary in Patnaipura will be removed. It has not been removed yet.

Instead of an elevated corridor, it would be better to build flyovers at different places.
