Indore.

The National Highways Development Authority will construct flyover bridges at three locations within Indore district on the Indore-Ahmedabad National Highway at a cost of ₹100 crore. Each of these flyover bridges will also include an underpass. Tenders have been issued for the construction of these bridges. Preparations are underway to hold a groundbreaking ceremony soon.

Indore Dhar Road is recognized as a road prone to vehicle accidents. Several locations on this route have been identified as black spots after studying traffic patterns. These black spots are frequently the scene of vehicle accidents. These accidents result in the loss of lives, while others are injured and hospitalized for days. Due to this situation, a project was developed to construct flyover bridges at these black spots to improve them.

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) proposed the construction of three flyover bridges along the Indore-Ahmedabad Highway in Indore district. This proposal has been approved. A six-lane, 1.120-kilometer flyover bridge will be built at the junction of the Indore-Pithampur route. The second flyover bridge, measuring 1.10 kilometers long, will be built at the Betma junction. The third flyover bridge, measuring 1.20 kilometers long, will be built at the junction of Indore and Dhar.

MP Shankar Lalwani stated that tenders have been issued by the National Highways Authority for the construction of these three flyover bridges. Preparations are underway to hold a groundbreaking ceremony to begin construction. The commonality between these three bridges is that all three will be six-lane wide. All three bridges will feature underpasses, allowing vehicles to pass underneath. The construction of these three flyover bridges will cost more than 100 crore rupees.

Vehicle accidents will reduce

This project has been designed to reduce the number of vehicle accidents on this route once these flyover bridges are completed. This is the purpose behind the project to build all these flyover bridges. Before constructing the project, a report was prepared studying the traffic and vehicle accidents on this route.

Seven bridges will be constructed

According to the project prepared by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), seven flyover bridges are to be constructed within the Madhya Pradesh border under this scheme. Separate tenders have been issued for these projects. Construction of each of these bridges will take two years after the work order is issued.
