Terms of Startup and Convention Centre tenders will also be finalized, apart from the appointment of consultants, other topics will also be discussed.

Following the appointment of the new Chairman and CEO, the first board meeting is scheduled for October 27th. While controversial topics are being avoided, the pending Startup Park and Convention Center projects will be approved. Tender conditions for these two projects, to be built on the PPP model, will be decided upon, allowing proposals to be invited from private firms. Work on the MR-10 four-lane flyover will also begin, for which work orders were issued recently. Tenders related to the development of TPS projects will also be approved at the board meeting.

Previously, the Authority’s board meeting was held every 15 days, but this time there was a delay because while the new Divisional Commissioner, Dr. Sudam Khade, assumed charge as Chairman, the CEO, Dr. Parikshit Jhare, also attended. He spent a few days reviewing the Authority’s functioning and ongoing projects. After that, the two officials have decided to present a proposal at the Board meeting on the 27th. According to Authority sources, this meeting will primarily focus on the Startup Park and Convention Center. The Chairman and CEO recently reviewed presentations on both projects. However, these projects have been stalled for three years. Now, a decision will be made on the terms of tenders to be called under the PPP model. Project 172 calls for a massive convention center with a seating capacity of 10,000 on approximately 42 acres of land, while a Startup Park is also to be constructed along the Super Corridor. Additionally, some tenders related to the development of the TPS projects will be approved. The Authority also says that work on the MR-10 railway overbridge will also begin. The authority is constructing another four-lane road next to the existing four-lane road, which will cost approximately Rs 80 crore.
