Many important decisions were taken in the board meeting of the Indore Development Authority (IDA) held on Thursday. The way has been cleared for the legalisation of 20 colonies stuck in IDA’s plans for 20–25 years. It has been decided that a proposal to free these colonies from the scheme will be prepared and sent to the government. The certificate of de-notification will be given to the resident association of the colony. The Municipal Corporation was not validating them because of the non-receipt of the NOC from IDA. On the other hand, the international-level swimming pool built in Piplyahana and the Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium and Museum built in Rajendra Nagar will be handed over to private hands. Tenders were issued for the double-decker bridge to be built at Lavkush Square. The board has approved the tender worth Rs. 146 crore. Now the work order will be issued to the contractor. Soon, Bhoomi Pujan will be done. A proposal to increase the width of the road to 45 metres will be sent to the Urban Development Department for the construction of a bridge at Mhow Naka. At the same time, it has also been decided to conduct a feasibility survey for a flyover on MR-10 and 12 in front of Agriculture College.
City
These colonies will be free from the IDA scheme.
According to Chairman Chavda, Devendra Nagar, Nemanagar, Sunder Nagar, Sahu Nagar, Panchavati Nagar, Lake Palace, Suvidhinagar, Asha Palace, Kaveri Nagar, New Kaveri Nagar, Kailash Bagh Colony, New Sundar Nagar, Kamalakeshar Nagar, Roshanbagh, Pushp Nagar, Rishinagar A, Rishinagar B, Shreenath Street, Shreenath Vihar, and Srishti Palace will be sent to the government for denotification to free them from the plan of IDA.
Hospital
The patient’s attendant will not be disturbed in MYH.
A building will be constructed at a cost of Rs 5 crore for attendants of patients admitted to MY Hospital. At present, the attendant has to wait in the lobby, stairwell, and gardens of the hospital. The attendant has to spend time in the hospital, where space is available at night. In such a situation, they face a lot of trouble. In view of this, the proposal to construct the building has been passed.
Women
The Women Entrepreneurship Centre will be built in three places in the city.
To make women self-reliant, entrepreneurship centres will be opened in three places, which will be dedicated to women only. These centres will be opened in Scheme No. 166, the Super Corridor, and Scheme No. 71. The building here will be entirely for women entrepreneurs. From here, she will be able to start her business. The tender to choose its architect will be issued soon. It will have all the facilities.
