Housing Board is developing commercial and residential projects on 42 acres of land of Hukum Chand Mill. According to sources, 3 to 4 big commercial plots will also be developed and sold directly through tenders, the board will build two residential buildings itself and along with that a commercial iconic tower will also be built, which will be unique of its kind and will become the identity of the city. In the last 5 years, Housing Board has sold properties worth 815 crores in Indore and across the state and the departmental minister also reviewed it yesterday.
Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has directed the officials of Madhya Pradesh Housing Board that the board should give priority to fulfilling the housing needs of the middle and weaker sections of the society. He said that the board should further strengthen its credibility among the general public through the quality of its work. He said that the board should thoroughly review each of its projects and complete it within the stipulated time frame. Minister Shri Vijayvargiya today inaugurated the Madhya Pradesh Housing and He was reviewing the construction works of the Infrastructure Development Board in a meeting. Additional Chief Secretary Urban Development and Housing Mr. Sanjay Shukla was also present in the meeting. The board will be reviewed again in the next 2 months by Minister Mr. Vijayvargiya. Minister Mr. Vijayvargiya said that on timely completion of the board’s commercial complex, economic activities will increase in the area and the youth will get employment. He said that if there is any delay between various agencies in the board’s schemes, it will be resolved by them.
Concrete efforts will be made. Minister Shri Vijayvargiya said that mechanisms should be devised to ensure that the residential and commercial complexes developed by the board are well maintained in future. He said that the complexes developed by the board should be named after great personalities. Minister Shri Vijayvargiya said that it should be ensured that the commercial tower to be built in Indore’s Hukumchand Mill complex is iconic.
