The authority is constructing the state’s first double-decker flyover at Lavkush Chauraha, more than half of the work of which has already been completed. Now another four-lane double-decker flyover will also be constructed on Canada Road. Recently, its feasibility survey was also done and this flyover will start from before Bhandari Resort, cross the bypass and will be constructed till Canada Police Station, which will also provide relief from the narrow ditches of the bypass, where there is usually traffic jam. The cost of this flyover has been estimated to be Rs 165 crore. Today, the annual budget of Rs 1700 crore is being approved by the authority for the coming financial year, in which this flyover project has also been included. The budget will be approved in the board meeting to be held at 11 am, in which other projects including Startup Park, Convention Center have been included.

Compared to the Municipal Corporation, the Authority is carrying out the maximum development work in Indore because it has no shortage of funds. Apart from building flyovers on four crossings, the construction of a double decker at Lavkush crossing is also going on at a fast pace, due to which the traffic on the Indore-Ujjain route will be smooth.

On the other hand, new flyovers are being planned at more than a dozen intersections, and another important gift will be given by the Authority Board today – the construction of a double-decker flyover on Kanada Road. Under the leadership of Divisional Commissioner and Authority Chairman Deepak Singh, the Authority has achieved many important achievements and for the development of Indore, the feasibility survey of the second double-decker flyover was also conducted on his instructions. Authority from CEO RP Ahirwar when asked he told that TPS-5 and TPS-9,It is also useful in connecting the flyover proved helpful if it happens, then only with him on Kanada Road which continuously traffic pressure is increasing.

It will also provide relief from that. Recently, the feasibility survey for this flyover has also been done. The total length of this flyover will be 1250 meters and it will be built in four lane width. This double decker will start taking shape before Bhandari Resort on Canada Road and will cross the bypass and land in front of the existing Canada police station. Since it will be built on top of the bypass flyover, it will be a double decker. It will also provide relief from Canada’s Bogda and reduce the cost of the authority.

Both TPS schemes will also benefit from this, due to which it is being constructed under the scheme itself.

Authority sources say that today the board will also approve a budget of about 1700 crore rupees, in which Collector Ashish Singh and other representatives will be present. The amount will be spent on the development of TPS schemes including Convention Center, Startup Park and other works. This time the authority has put special focus on Electric City and Green Re in its budget and has also made provision for more budget amount for it. Two to three times the amount has been increased in these items and for the first time the budget amount is also being decided department-wise. The authority says that from Super Corridor to old schemes where green belts, gardens are being developed.

In the TPS schemes that have been announced, more than 100 gardens are to be developed, due to which the budget of Green Re has been increased almost 3 times. On the Supreme Court order, the Authority has received 210 acres of land of Ring Road Scheme 97 Part-2 and 4, out of which 42 acres has been declared as City Forest, which the Authority will also develop in the coming financial year. Therefore, budget provision has been made for that as well. Apart from this, apart from the construction of Master Plan and MR roads, electrification work is also to be done in all the schemes, for which the Authority is spending more than Rs 400 crore. Two more IS BTs will also be constructed, for which the administration will provide land.
