Just as the Central Government started smart city projects in major cities of the country, now eight greenfield cities are being selected. Earlier Gwalior from Madhya Pradesh was included in the list of this project. But now Pithampur, an industrial town located near Indore, will be able to get this project, because due to Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and Global Investors Summit organized in Indore recently, Indore has been strongly branded. for this project The central government will give an amount of one thousand crore rupees, due to which special care will be taken for basic facilities as well as environmental pollution and there will be more greenery.
The Union Ministry of Urban Development has decided to include eight cities of the country in the green field project under the 15th Finance Commission. Just as in foreign countries, a city with all facilities is developed in a new area, where environmental pollution is also taken care of along with all facilities. Earlier the name of Gwalior from Madhya Pradesh was decided for this project. Where Counter Magnet City was developed, which is half-incomplete and the help of green field project was to be taken to complete it. But now Pithampur of Indore is being selected instead and it is almost decided. And with an amount of one thousand crore rupees, a green field city with all facilities will be prepared, which will have eco-friendly industries as well as other facilities including schools, hospitals, colleges, residential townships, and entertainment centers.
It is worth mentioning that Indore was first placed in the list of 10 Smart City cities selected by the Central Government, although later the number of Smart City cities were increased. A smart city project has been implemented by the Indore Municipal Corporation from Rajwada to the MOG line area, in which funds of crores of rupees are continuously being received from the Central Government under various heads, due to which construction of historic religious places including Rajwada, Gopal Mandir and others have been started.
