Indore.
To ease traffic on the busy roads of the city, the Mayor Council has decided to build two bridges. Widening the bridge from Janjirwala Square to Industry House will provide great relief to the traffic going towards BRTS, as the left and right turns of this road have also been widened.
Similarly, the bridge between Malwa Mill and Patnaipura is also being widened. The construction of both will cost around Rs 10 crore.
It will cost money. On Friday, the MIC member inspected both the construction sites and directed to remove the encroachment.
The number of vehicles in the city is increasing rapidly. This leads to traffic jams on narrow roads. Recently, the Road Safety Committee has decided to build flyovers on the intersections as well as to improve the condition of bottle necks on the main roads, left and right turns of the intersections. The Municipal Corporation and the Traffic Police are surveying and marking such places and making improvements. Public Works Incharge Rajendra Rathore said, the officers have been asked to clear the site and remove the obstructing constructions around.

Traffic is getting stuck on a narrow culvert built years ago
Similarly, there is a narrow culvert on the drain near Malwa Mill crossing. It was built years ago. Its construction was abandoned while widening the road. The Mayor Council has also approved its construction. It will cost Rs 6 crore. With its construction, the bottle neck area between Malwa Mill and Patnaipura will end. Vehicles will be able to pass easily.
The path of BRTS will become easier from Janjirawala crossing
According to the survey, there are two major obstacles on the road coming from Race Course Road towards BRTS. The first obstacle is the narrow bridge in the middle. The second is the narrow left turn towards Industry House. Due to this, there is a jam every morning and evening, because the drivers going towards LIG, Vijay Nagar go from this side instead of Palasia MG Road. The Municipal Corporation has recently widened the left and right turns according to the space, now the bridge will be widened. It will cost 4 crores. Rathore said, its tender has been completed. Soon the work order will be issued and work will start.
